On 16 November 2025, the three-day Shanghai Children's Health & Wellness Fair (CHWF) concluded successfully at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre. As an annual flagship event dedicated to children's health, the fair brought together industry resources through a professional, cross-sector lens and delivered health concepts in innovative formats, building a vital bridge between industry development and family education. This year's edition featured 88 organisations and companies presenting through exhibitions, science-popularisation activities, and interactive engagements, attracting a total of 8,929 visitors on site. Throughout the event, 23 industry forums and science-education seminars were held, alongside 12 parent-child experiential activities, offering a comprehensive showcase of the dynamic growth of the children's health market and shaping an annual carnival that integrates industry exchange, knowledge dissemination, and family participation.
The fair was co-organised by BolognaFiere China Ltd. and DLG Exhibitions & Events Co.,Ltd.,and strategically aligned with the concurrently held China Shanghai International Children's Book Fair (CCBF), forming a complementary exhibition matrix centred on "Health + Reading." The event received strong professional support from the Food Education and Health Industry Branch of CFA, the China Healthy Birth Science Association, the Self-Care Alliance, the Shanghai Psychological Service Association, and the Shenzhen Children's Intelligent Products Association. It also benefited from the significant contribution of leading enterprises including Shanghai Film Infinity, Neochild, and CHING TAK KIDVANTAGE, among others.
Children's Health Products and Services Converge to Co-create a New Industry Ecosystem
At the fair, children's health brands and service providers converged with their core products, advanced technologies and specialised solutions. CHING TAK KIDVANTAGE, staying true to its mission of safeguarding children's healthy growth, held its brand strategy upgrade event together with the launch ceremony of the "KIDVANTAGE Global Duty-Free" platform. Heji (Shanghai) Health Management Co., Ltd. showcased newly developed tools including the Visual Focus VR system and EEG devices aimed at addressing fundamental challenges such as concentration difficulties among children with special needs. Qifu Outdoor Sports presented its systematic and progressive outdoor activity programmes designed to cultivate children's independence, resilience and spirit of exploration. Dr.Cheese introduced its infant-grade cheese yoghurt featuring upgraded nutritional value and innovative taste profiles, while Denmark's High&GoGo displayed its newly imported probiotic products, bringing Nordic-quality nutrition to more families. Hangzhou Xidong Network Technology Co., Ltd. demonstrated its“AI Companion Tom Cat,” reflecting the brand's philosophy of nurturing children's development through warm and emotionally attuned AI companionship. AIER EYE HOSPITAL provided services for myopia prevention and eye-health screening for young people, with Dr Hu Yuntao, Chief Specialist of the hospital's Shanghai Special Zone, stating that “the popularity of this year's event exceeded expectations and allowed us to reach parent–child families with great precision.” Neochild's General Manager, Wang Yaping, remarked that the new range of moisturising, cleansing, bathing and household-care products presented at the fair is built on gentle formulations and targeted care, adding: “We hope the event enables more families to enjoy safe, professional mother-and-baby care products and services in a one-stop setting.” Across its three-day run, the fair offered comprehensive coverage of children's health needs—from medical services and nutritional products to daily personal care—highlighting the sector's diversified development and strong momentum.
Aligned with the needs of industry development, the fair introduced a range of professional services and signature activities. A total of 101 targeted business matchmaking sessions created in-depth negotiation channels for suppliers and buyers, earning unanimous praise from exhibitors. The inaugural Children's Health Industry Innovation Conference, themed “Connecting the Industry Chain, Co-creating a New Ecosystem for Children's Health,” brought together leading industry figures to discuss future growth. Liu Yuanjie, Senior Purchasing Manager at JD Health, provided an analysis of consumption trends and opportunity insights in the diversified nutrition category for infants and children; Yan Jin, Business Planning Manager of the Licensing Division at Shanghai Film Infinity, outlined three dimensions through which IP can empower the children's health sector; and Wang Haijun, Secretary-General of the Shenzhen Children's Intelligent Products Association, explored development pathways for children’s smart products and their value in enhancing health outcomes. In addition, the fair hosted in-depth discussions on core topics including mental health, skincare and personal care, and private-domain marketing, offering the industry a range of perspectives and practical references for future development.
Expert Insights to Solve Parenting Challenges, Enriching Parent–Child Moments with Engaging Activities
To promote scientific parenting concepts and address common childcare challenges, the fair curated a series of children's health science lectures delivered by leading experts in paediatrics, endocrinology, nutrition, psychology and sports medicine, offering highly practical and authoritative insights. Professor Zhang Huimin, Chief Physician of Dermatology at Shuguang Hospital, explained scientific methods for children's skincare; Ms Zhao Zhuhui, Associate Chief Physician of Endocrinology at the Children's Hospital of Fudan University, focused on the issue of childhood obesity and provided evidence-based intervention strategies for parents; Dr Xu Haixia, Associate Chief Physician of Paediatrics at Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, shared practical TCM-based approaches for regulating the spleen and stomach to help parents address picky eating, poor appetite and other parenting difficulties. In addition, popular topics of high concern to parents—such as balanced nutrition for children, supporting healthy height development, and nurturing parent-child relationships—were discussed from professional perspectives, offering clear, practical and science-based guidance for families.
The “One in 20.25 Million Encounters – Sunshine Science Popularization Public Welfare Campaign 'Beyond Rarity' Public Welfare Science Popularization Video and Painting Exhibition 2025” emerged as a heart-warming highlight of the event, presenting the artistic talent and remarkable resilience of people living with rare diseases. The exhibition featured 29 rare-disease artists and 23 student artists, showcasing a total of 68 works (or sets of works). It revealed the rich inner worlds and life values of rare-disease patients, while fostering cross-sector engagement and raising broader social awareness and support for this community. Among them, the children from Shanghai Minhang Vanke Bilingual School and Shanghai United International School Wanyuan, expressed their heartfelt wishes to the rare-disease community through their innocent brushstrokes after taking part in the rare-disease science-popularisation activities, bringing a touch of warmth and childlike purity to the exhibition.
A rich variety of parent–child workshops offered families an immersive and interactive experience that brought parenting knowledge to life through hands-on practice. The OCAY Psychology Parent–Child Fair, jointly created by OCAY Psychology, Healthy Shanghai, the Shanghai Mental Health Center, and the Shanghai Stock Exchange Foundation, broke away from traditional parent–child formats through engaging activities that fostered closer bonds as parents and children explored and listened to one another. At the Charity Bazaar hosted by the Shanghai Children's Foundation and Xiaowaibao, families set up stalls together to sell second-hand items, transforming unused belongings into acts of kindness, with all proceeds donated to the Shanghai Children's Foundation's Loving Baby Action programme. In the Energising Breakfast Station, children and parents prepared healthy breakfasts together, following playful recipes designed by nutritionists according to different age groups, making hands-on learning both lively and popular. The classic IP, Mr.Black, authorised by Shanghai Film Infinity, made a surprise appearance at the “Health Star” Stamp Challenge and the IP & Robotics Parade, spreading the message that wisdom, courage and health are all essential to growing up. The Happy Life Market gathered organic products, trendy toys and intangible cultural heritage activities, enabling families to shop, play and interact warmly as they discovered quality brands and enjoyed treasured moments together. The AI Robotics Family Sports Carnival was a highlight, combining technology and fun as interactive human–robot games drew long queues of eager participants. Children strengthened their bond with their parents amid laughter and joy, creating a vibrant and heartwarming atmosphere throughout the venue.
The Shanghai Children's Health & Wellness Fair was not only a major industry event bringing together sectoral strengths and promoting health concepts, but also a deeply meaningful practice of connecting resources, fostering consensus and empowering growth. Looking ahead, the fair will continue to focus on the evolving needs of the children's health industry, further enhancing its content and services, deepening integration across the industry chain, and driving innovation and upgrading. Together with industry partners and thousands of families, it will continue to shape a bright future where every child enjoys health and joyful development.
